“My Best Me” – International Leadership Expedition Program

How do you achieve a global mindset shift in a hybrid environment? This was the central question facing the High Performance Metals Division of voestalpine. With over 300 managers worldwide, spread across different time zones and cultures, the goal was to establish a shared understanding of high performance, psychological safety, and mental strength. The challenge: To develop a program that achieves immense emotional depth despite a purely digital distance, making the „power of the unconscious“ usable for everyday leadership within the corporation.

Our Role

Sprungkraft designed the entire curriculum and media production. We acted as curators for expert knowledge (top athletes, bomb disposal experts, digital leaders) and accompanied the participants as coaches and catalysts.
The Power of the Team: A key success factor was the deployment of our multidisciplinary consultant team. By leveraging our diverse backgrounds and individual strengths, we were able to illuminate leadership from various angles—from psychological depth and systemic coaching to high-performance sports strategies—ensuring a versatile and holistic program that resonated across all corporate levels.

The Path: The “Leadership Expedition”

The program was designed as a 12-month journey, expanding the focus from „I“ to „We“ in successive cycles:

  • Phase 1: Mindset is Key – Leaving the Autopilot
  • Impulse: A bomb disposal expert shared insights on maintaining focus under extreme pressure.
  • Content: „Snap out of autopilot.“ Managers learned to perceive their attention as a „superpower.“ Using Rapid Recharge Audios, the ability to regenerate quickly was anchored into the stressful workday.
  • Phase 2: My Goal – Defining Your Own Expedition
  • Impulse: A world-class rower and coach on the pro-athlete mindset.
  • Content: „The Science of Goal Design.“ Moving away from dry KPIs toward Goal Visualization. Managers learned to create emotional target images that act as magnets for their teams.
  • Phase 3: Resources & Inner Obstacles – Sailing Through the Storm
  • Impulse: An exchange with a Digital Transformation Leader about setbacks and resistance.
  • Content: „The Inner Saboteur.“ We looked behind the facade of resistance within teams and learned to utilize the positive intention behind it. With the Strength Journal, focus was consistently directed toward existing resources.
  • Phase 4: My Expedition – From Insight to Action
  • Impulse: A four-time World Champion on Inner State Management.
  • Content: Using the „Moment of Excellence“ (anchoring) to be at peak performance at the push of a button during important stakeholder meetings.
  • Phase 5: Our Best Us – Creating Collective Impact

Content: Working with the Walt Disney Method for strategy development and the „Museum of Old Beliefs.“ Here, limiting beliefs were appreciatively retired and replaced by powerful new team narratives.

Support & Attitude

Despite the digital distance, warmth and depth were paramount to us. Through a mix of high-professional video nuggets, personal podcasts, audios, and „Leaders Exchange“ sessions, a Safe Space was created.

By involving our entire consultant team with their different focal points, we ensured that every participant found a relatable sparring partner. This variety allowed us to teach different aspects of mental strength authentically, ensuring that psychological safety was not just explained theoretically but felt through lived rapport in every session.

Results

The program created a global network of alumni who:

  • Developed a common language for mental strength and leadership.
  • Understand Psychological Safety as the necessary fuel for innovation.
  • Possess the tools to keep themselves and their teams healthy and high-performing through resilience and state management.

In short: A transformative program proving that „Distance Leadership“ is no barrier to emotional and mental depth when the focus remains on the human being behind the role.
